I neglected the fact that the sites been running for already 3 years and the site, along with seed-forum.com are in the fourth year of operation. Gundam Seed Stargazer

Contrary to previous announcements naming the next series as "Eternity", the third and probably final installment of the series, "Gundam Seed" will be called "Stargazer". The series will air in Japan probably around April/May and is currently unlicensed for the time being. That means we may be able to bring a lot more media (ie: clips) onto the site for your viewing. Of course, there will also be screenshots from as many episodes as I can like I have done for the previous two series. The "Official" website can be found at: http://www.seed-stargazer.net/, there is a link to it on www.gundam-seed-d.net and the official opening of the site will be on April 10th, 2006.
FTP Re-Opened

New Layout / Content

I've finally put up the new layout for the new year!
There have been content updates for the character biographies under Gundam SEED Destiny since they were already almost a year old.
Also, I'd like to bring the [Image Board] to attention. There are currently only one set of images and these are the screenshots of MS IGLOO that I have placed half a year ago.
Perhaps I failed to mention the fact that users may upload pictures freely under the categories (without even signing up, but you may if you want to see your name under a picture for submitter) and guests can post comments. All inappropriate pictures will be deleted, so please don't post ^^
I recommend this section for all users who want to put their fanart up on the site since it is tedious for me to do it myself manually.
It is only in the testing phase right now, so I'll see how it works out in a while and to see what changes are necessary!

The server was down for about a day due to a DoS (Denial of Service) attack. >.<

In order to increase the amount of content and information that is available to regular visitors to the site, I am looking for some staff for the site to help:
1. Write episode summaries for Gundam Wing/Turn A / Gundam X/ and complete the Gundam Seed / GSD sections.
2. A modelling section where advice can be given on the best way to build the scale models that are widely available and popular.
3. A news poster(s) who will be interested in posting news regarding anything Gundam.
4. People who want to help me build new sections (including Mecha sections, misc) that will interest others.
5. If your really bored and have nothing to do and want to build a new site layout for this site, give it your best shot, e-mail it to me and if I like it enough, I may consider changing the site layout.
6. If anyone has some good, constructive ideas, feel free to e-mail me.
NOTE: To apply, you must state your age/gender/country and a few good reasons why you want to be a part of the GundamS.net staff (which currently has only 1 member, me!). Applications with bad grammar, slang and otherwise content un-fit for website use will be rejected and/or ignored.

I've moved the site and forums to a brand new server. It's faster and you can tell the difference of the site speed, especially on the forums where load times are significantly faster.
The server has a AMD Athlon XP 3000+ CPU and 1GB RAM with 160GB of hard drive space =)

Gundam Seed Destiny episode 40 screenshots have been released and are available by clicking [HERE]
. Unfortunately, approximately half of the screenshots have a Japanese subtitling of which I am presuming a warning and/or notice about an earthquake that had unfortunately occured in Tokyo when the show was being aired. The earthquake was the strongest to hit the Tokyo area since 1992, there are several dozen reported injured, however there are no reports of fatalities as of yet.
I have also updated some of the site content as it was getting very outdated. The episode list for Gundam Seed Destiny now extends to episode forty-four and the Gundam Seed Destiny Synopsis has been edited slightly with full characters and staff. I will be trying to make more significant updates within the next few days.
The MP3 section links have also been fixed. They will no longer be served on the HTTP server in order to save large amounts of bandwith, which is becoming more and more scarce as this site continues to grow along with the popularity of GSD.

Gundam Seed Destiny Licensed!

Yes, It was licensed on a telephone interview with Jerry Chu who works for Bandai Entertainment as a Marketing Manager.
Although many fans will be disappointed about the licensing, and many groups will stop subbing, there will be undoubtibly several new groups that will spring up to sub.
I am not encouraging anyone to download these subs nor am I telling people not to download them. Just keep that in mind and please don't send me e-mails about it being licensed! I know just as much as you and probably not much more =0

Site Traffic

I thought it would be kind of interesting to post a graph of the amount of traffic going through the site at certain times of the day.
Please note; I have 1000GB (1TB) of monthly transfer available on this server. An ideal or average number for bits per second should be 3300/s. If I do go over bandwith, of course, I will have to pay, but that won't be the case, since the first 2 weeks had rather low traffic since the FTP wasn't up.
Therefore, I have to say that the FTP login which now houses Gundam Seed Destiny episodes will have to be shut off at certain times or be even more limited to users. At the moment its running at 20 users max/ 15kbps per user.

I've added it onto the FTP for direct download. Once again, just type in ftp.gundams.net - no login or password required. Then click on the 'pub' folder next for the links. For the next 2 days or so, I've increased the number of users able to logon to 75. I've now set it so the maximum download speed you can get is 30kb/s.
If you want to upload other episodes of Destiny (regardless of fansub group) please go ahead (must be uploaded to 'incoming' folder). They'll then be moved to the 'pub' or downloadable section for others to download.
I hope this service is beneficial to slower internet users out there. Remember, I ask you to please not use this FTP for downloading episodes if you have a considerably fast (50+kb/s) DSL/Cable+ connection.

You can type that in your browser to access the FTP or you can use an FTP client. You can upload files (related to Gundam - which are --NOT<< illegal (ie; licensed). If I find them appropriate, I will put them in the 'pub' folder so anyone can download them.
Only files in the 'pub' folder are downloadable. Currently, the Gundam SEED OVA (5 minutes) is posted up. I'm not sure if this title is licensed, and will take it off if I am told it is.
I *may* add Gundam Seed Destiny episodes (RAW's and/or subs) depending on how this turns out. I will have to limit downloading bandwith to about 250 - 500 kb/s because I cannot surpass my monthly allotment. There will be about 25-30 users who will be able to log-in at the same time. For those with slower internet or dial-up, you will be able to directly download these files. For those with cable - please don't download from here (unless you want other files besides the subs), and use BitTorrent.

After all this time, I've finally almost gotten rid of all the ugly-looking old-layout pages (exception of the Gundam Seed Mechanics section - should be moved over very very soon)

Hosting Account

I have decided to lay off the plan for a dedicated server... for more than one reason. First, there just weren't enough donations ($20). I've gotten a second hosting account however, that will enable me to add more screenshots (for other anime series, not just Gundam related). It will also have the same specs as this hosting plan (1.5gb space/~300gb bandwith a month).
This means that hosting costs have been doubled, and there are only so many ways to earn money to help pay them off.

Episode 7 screenshots are finally up, 333 in total. Episode 8 are also ready, but with what happened in the past (extremely high server loads), it won't be released for another 12-hours to relieve the stress to them.

I realize a lot of people have e-mailed me with summaries and fan submissions over the past few weeks, but I havn't been able to get through them. I'll try over the next few days to get that sorted as well as the screenshots that have yet to be posted.
The screenshots will be posted 1 episode at a time, as last time I put 3 episodes simultaneously, it created extremely high loads on the server.

Like they all say; never late than never =). The servers been... emotional during the past few days. Hiccups here and there, the forum and site was down for just about half a day yesterday.
A quick note for those e-mailing me again - if you do; put in a subject or title. (no subject) e-mails are marked as spam by me and thrown in the trash can. The hundreds of spam e-mails I get a day takes too long to sort, so I resort to that.
As for the screenshots, all thats left is for me to upload and such - so they'll be up tommorow; a total of 1036 pics. 370 from Ep 4, 346 from Ep 5 and 320 from Ep 6.
I'll see what I can do for those who have sent in e-mails about errors on the site as well!

Destiny Episodes 2/3

Screenshots for these 2 episodes have been added. Submissions of episode 2 summaries are also now up. If anyone would like to make a summary for episode 3 as well, please send it in as well.
Donations status has also been updated, it is now less $50.00USD because someone reversed a donation a few weeks back, which is quite unfortunate. This month has been a record breaker for visitors and bandwith. I am already using 1.7GB of space on this current server just for images, my limit was 1.5GB originally. A dedicated server may become necessary in the near future, permitting that I have enough funds to get one monthly, since they are quite costly. Bandwith is EXCEEDING 13GB per DAY on images alone. This does not include the videos I have available. There have been almost 1.8 MILLION server requests (per image basis, not page loads) yesterday alone.
Just wanted to bring this to your attention for now. (stats don't include the forums)

Earthquake in Japan

Due to earthquakes that have affected Japan at the time when Gundam Seed Destiny Ep 3 was airing, the full episode was not aired. Only 11 minutes were. It has been rescheuled to air again in the next few days. At that time, screenshots will be made available.

Destiny Update!

Destiny aired a few hours ago, and as promised, screenshots are on the site. About 400 in total.
Also, made new sections on left menu bar about Destiny. New synopsis (edited), episode list (my translations and romanized Japanese version), character list and episode summaries (episode 1 summary done by me if anyone is interested). Mecha and more detailed descriptions will be posted later.
I'll be updating more, and for those summaries of Gundam SEED sent to me ages ago, they will be posted soon as well as other things that have been submitted.

Destiny Countdown

Destiny will be premiered shortly! If you want the RAW, join our IRC channel at #GundamSeed @ irc.rizon.net, it'll be released within an hour of it being aired in Japan! Just don't flood and spam.
Once again, I remind you about screenshots that will be posted if you don't want to watch the RAW (no Eng. subtitles/fansubbed).
Also, I am currently looking for donations, recently, a person who donated a large sum of money to the site called or reported to PayPal that their donation was fraud, whether this was true or not is not the problem. My PayPal account has a negative balance as of now, the problem will probably take a while to resolve and donations of ANY amount will be greatly accepted. Payment for the hosting of the servers is due in a few days, and I don't want to have my host shut off the site right after Destiny airs!

Fixed Links

I was going through the image gallery today and noticed a whole bunch of links were completely broken and that many of the pages were not properly coded, so they don't show on certain browsers like Mozilla. I have since fixed that and a total of 22 of the image gallery links are now working properly. Over 1k pictures and thumbnails fixed ^^

Full Metal Alchemist has concluded, and next week will begin the airing of Gundam Seed Destiny on Japanese television. Expect screenshots, synopsis and more as I used to do when SEED was being aired!

Sorry for lack of updates. Been busy since school has started and everything. Rest assured; I will try my best to update as soon as I can and as frequently.
Just for us Canadians out there; Gundam Seed airs weekly Fridays @ 9:30pm EST. SD Gundam airs every Friday @ 7pm as well. Also, and I am quite surprised, YTV has chosen to air Witch Hunter Robin =, also on Fridays, but @ 10:30pm EST.

CNAnime 2004 @ Toronto

August 27th - 29th was the annual anime / sci-fi / comic / and this year the horror convention. Thousands of people attended and line-ups were something you met almost everywhere you went. Nonetheless, it was a great 3 days for those who attended, with many things happening including a 1 hour power outage.
Images of cosplayers and such will be put onto the site later on today or tommorow.
Great news for all the Canadians out there (including me): Gundam SEED and SD Gundam Force will be airing on YTV in September! Although it has lagged behind the Cartoon Network; more Gundam series other than Wing are leaking into Canada through basic cable services!
Update: Gundam Seed Screenshots episodes 41-44 links have been down since the move - they have since been fixed. Thanks for letting me know!

Well I just wanted to say that the server move didn't go to well. After 1 day my account was suspended because of having multimedia on it? So - I'm sticking with SmooveNet.com who have been great hosts since GundamS.net opened up (ooh btw, I get a free domain reg. if you refer me when or if you sign up for them -).
I'll start updating wallpapers and such where I left off before I was planning on the move. Also, please STOP e-mailing me about multimedia files and video files. I had to take some of them off because they ate too much bandwith. Currently, site is using about 7 - 12 GB a day worth of bandwith depending on the day of the week. It was about 20% higher before without the multimedia. Don't want to eat away too much bandwith from my host =)

New forums is up! It may be a bit buggy right now, but that should be fixed soon.
The main move will occur in about 1 day where www.gundams.net will be on the new server. There should be absolutely no downtime, however the Bit Torrent tracker may go down for a while. Stat's might also be wipe.

Gundam Seed Destiny

Just a little bit of information. The first episode of Seed Destiny will air in Japan on October 9th, 2004. =0
Server move is progressing although not as smoothly as I had hoped.
The contest is postponed for now. Entries can still be sent however. A new date for the second prize will be chosen after move has been completed.
Gundam-Seed-D.org has been moved. A mirror of this site has been made and downloads have already been placed on the high-speed HTTP server so no more FTP errors. I'll be adding a lot more downloads when everything else is finally settled. If Gundam-Seed-D.org's news page is the same as this, then the DNS changes have not taken place yet and you are still viewing the site in the old server.
